Hospital Caregivers in Puerto RicoCare that feels like home for your hospitalized loved one, with a daily report for the family.

When a loved one enters a hospital, the family wants to be there around the clock — but work and distance don't always allow it. Our hospital companion cares for your family member on the ward as if they were at home: bathing, feeding assistance, care log, vital signs, and discharge coordination, with everything documented in a written report for you.

Hospital rate: $16/hour · 4-hour minimum per visit · 8-hour ($128) and 12-hour ($192) shifts

Our differentiator

Not just companionship — care that feels like home.

Anyone can sit in a chair by the bed. We do much more than that. When a Cuidado de Oro Home Care caregiver walks into a hospital room, they bring the same dedication as home care — adapted to the hospital setting and coordinated with the clinical staff.

01

Bathing and full hygiene

We bathe the participant, help with their daily personal hygiene, change their clothes, and everything they need to feel clean and dignified — always coordinated with the floor staff.

02

Assisted feeding

We serve their meals, assist them during feeding per the medical instructions, and record what they ate and how much — so the family and the medical team know.

03

Full record of everything clinical

We log everything nursing administers: exact times, medication names, and treatments performed. The family receives that documented log.

04

Vital signs

We take vital signs and record how they change throughout the shift, for a clear picture of how the participant is doing between medical visits.

05

Coordination with the medical team

We communicate with the medical staff and the hospital social worker to coordinate discharge and post-hospitalization care — so the family never has to chase the information.

06

Documented report for the family

At the end of each shift we deliver everything documented in a written report: vitals, meals, hygiene, treatments, communications with the medical team, and important observations.

We're strictly non-clinical: we never do wound care, injections, or administer medications. That's nursing's job. We care, observe, record, and coordinate.

How it works

Clear shifts, clear pricing.

Hospital service is booked by shift — never any surprises. The hospital rate is $16 per hour, with a 4-hour minimum per visit. An 8-hour shift costs $128 and a 12-hour shift costs $192. We give you the per-shift price from the very first message.

Here's how it works: message us on WhatsApp at 939-392-6801, we coordinate with the floor administration and hospital staff so our caregiver respects each room's rules, the caregiver arrives directly at the hospital and the shift begins. At the end of each shift you receive the documented report with everything that happened.

Shifts can repeat day after day throughout the hospitalization, with the same caregiver whenever availability allows — so your loved one always sees a familiar face. If you need continuous coverage across several shifts, we coordinate the handoffs for you.

8-hour shift$128 per shift · ideal for covering the night or the day
12-hour shift$192 per shift · extended coverage with the same caregiver
Minimum visit3 hours per visit ($64) · for short support visits

Hospital vs. home

Hospital care and home care

They're two different services and they complement each other. A caregiver for a hospitalized participant works inside the hospital, alongside the clinical staff and under the room's rules: they care, observe, record, and coordinate. Home care, on the other hand, is a full care plan in your home — with the caregiver managing the day's routines, meals, hygiene, and companionship without nursing present.

Most families meet us at the hospital and continue with us at home when discharge day comes. The same caregiver who already knows your loved one — their tastes, their routines, their progress — can continue caring for them at home. That continuity is one of the advantages of hiring an agency instead of an independent: the written care plan travels with your loved one from the hospital to home, and the family gets constant follow-up.

If your loved one isn't hospitalized yet but you need home care, our companionship and greater assistance services start at $60 per visit. And when discharge day comes, the transition is seamless because we already know each other: we coordinate post-hospitalization care directly with you and the hospital social worker.

Post-hospitalization coordination

Discharge isn't the end — it's the beginning.

Discharge day is when families have the most questions: which medications continue? Which appointments need to be scheduled? Who cares for them at home during recovery? Our post-hospitalization care service answers those questions before you walk out the hospital door.

During the final shifts, our caregiver communicates with the medical staff and the social worker to collect the discharge instructions: prescribed medications, special care, follow-up appointments, and warning signs. It all reaches the family documented in the final report, in clear, organized language.

We also coordinate the transition to home care. If you decide to continue with our in-home service, we prepare the non-clinical care plan based on the needs the family shares with us, assign the caregiver, and start service at your home from the very first day after the hospital. Our plan's requesting family members enjoy exclusive benefits that make that transition easier.

Non-clinical limit

We're strictly non-clinical.

This is important and we say it clearly: Cuidado de Oro Home Care is a non-clinical agency. In the hospital, we never offer wound or ulcer care, we never give injections, and we never administer medications. Those tasks belong to the hospital's nursing staff, who are trained and authorized to do them.

What we do provide is personal care, observation, recording, and coordination: bathing the participant, serving and assisting with meals, taking vital signs, accurately logging everything nursing administers (times, names, and treatments), and communicating with the medical team and the social worker. We work alongside the clinical staff — never in their place.

If your loved one needs clinical services, like wound care or private nursing, we're happy to refer you to an agency with nursing staff. Our commitment is honesty: we do non-clinical care very well, and we don't pretend to do what isn't ours to do.
